HISTORY

The Maple Grove SeniorNet Learning Center opened in November, 1999 through the sponsorship of the Maple Grove Parks and Recreation Board. It was established to teach computer skills to older adults (50 or over) in a understandable, enjoyable, and friendly way. Since opening, a large number of class participants have taken advantage of our program. Taught by all volunteers, we use PC compatible (Hewlett Packard) computers (with Windows XP) and MS Works software for teaching Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Database. In addition, Print Artist (graphics), Quicken (home accounting), and the Internet are/will be normally included in our schedule of classes.
